Today in SLJ (Summer learning journey) We Had to make Music instruments Nano girl. we caninstruments. I filled cups with water but it has to be different amounts and tap the pencil on the glass. I had to do it on metal and plastic because I don't have any glass cups but it still  works. Next I made one using paper. we had to roll them up and cut them to different size and tap it using the same pencil  After we had to make a Screencastify about it. SLJ Week 1 Day 2 - Cacadas Do Maths

Today For Summer Leaning Journey. I learnt about some Cacadas timelines I had to create a timeline of what are we going to do when I´m 17, 34, 51, 68 and 85.some cacadas live up to 17 years. Last year was when I first saw cacadas in person. Here is my Template

Lockdown Works

Kia ora Everybody, Auckland is in Level 4 For 4 Weeks or more weeks and the rest of New Zealand is at Level 2 due to the Delta veriant. Today  I am going to talk about My favorite  activities In lockdown. We had a Reading and Writing  We have one board for these two subject. Maths is the only subject in Lockdown that has different Groups Moana,Whenua and Rangi.

My favorite reading work is 3-2-1 We had to chose a story I chose know your nutrients You had to fill 3 things you learnt, 2 is what you found interesting and 1 is What do you what to know more about it.

For writing I actually haven't did anything except this blog post because I don't have enough time

My favorite Maths activity is Long shots Because you can compete with anyone in your bubble or do it by yourself. You can have a bucket or basket and a ball you need to stand 1M away from the bucket if you made it in you have to step further from the bucket. Whoever the furthest wins!!!

Lockdown DLO (Adam Hall)

 Hi bloggers all around the world🌏⏪, Today I am going talk about my fourth DLO about the paralympian we had chose, My paralympian is Adam Hall. As the NZ people knows we in lockdown again! We have to use Google meets and have syndicate meet on wednesday and friday At fridays the teachers gives out certificates, and I actually got a certificate this week. Anyway we had to choose a DLO Google Drawings,Slides and Book creator. I chose google drawings and we had to choose a Paralympian From a website and research about it.

How has the changed ancient olympics to modern games and to present games

Hi bloggers all around the world 🌏👈, through out the week we have been working on our olympic DLO (Digital Learning object). For DLO's we had choose a focus question and we had to choose what DLO like book creator, Google slides, Google drawing and much more site I chose book creator. Book creator is a website that you can make books (Not real books). I chose it because I haven't used it before. you might excited of excited of NZ came 13 out of 205 place. My favourite sport are just water sports. I can't wait to watch the paralympics. Blog ya later

Kia Ora bloggers around the world, This week we have been learning about the Olympics. We had 5 activities to choose from I chose the Logo's work. Tokyo was the first city to make Logo's of what sports there are. They did this 1964 games and again in the 2020 Olympics. For the work we had to write in what the Logo meant and we had to choose a sport to study I chose sailing. I was surprised about that Handball is in the olympics. Blog ya later

We had chose a cultural game or just a normal game like tag. We had to write what equipment,  a goal, instruction, title, pictures or diagram. All the steps has to start with a verb and it has to be specific If it wasn't then people will do it all wrong.

STEM Week Waikowhai Student Led Toolkits

STEM Week

Hi viewers, Last week Friday we had Student Led Toolkit for STEM Week (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) There were 24 presenters and 12 Toolkits

My first Toolkit I had to present Makey Makey with Me and Mason. For  Makey Makey you can create circuits to make something. It was kinda hard to present because there was no internet connection and we had so many people needing help. 

My Second Toolkit was Piskel in Haumia By Zara and Josie. Piskel was a pixel art that you can animate it  First we had to sign in and then they taught us how to change colours and stuff like that and then we had sandpit time we had twenty minutes to draw I decided to draw a Among us Imposter and then we get to share our drawings at the end 

My Third one, I had to present again. It was a bit easy because we had less people and we had some people from Drones because they did not work. And we already knew what to say. First I had to teach them how to use Makey Makey and it was sandpit time. Some people even got creative using stuff to make a circuit to make a piano work. 

Spark Arena trip!!!

Hi viewers, for today's blog post I’m going to talk about the Year 6 Spark Arena trip. When we arrived at Spark Arena, 2 other schools also came: Royal Road school and Lincoln Heights School. Brendan Hines (The CEO) organised the schools into different Exhibitions, The exhibitions were Van Gogh, Happy place and Sounds Fun,  and we have half an hour on each one. And we had Suzy Cato with us.

The first exhibition we went to was the Happy Place. First we went into the ball pit. The ball pit was so deep that some people sank into the pit and it was so tricky to climb out, and we had to go 4 at a time. Next there were rooms. The first one was the silver room which makes you look like you're a popstar, The second one is a room full of chains which makes you dizzy. The other room had a tub with yellow balls inside and walls with rubber ducks. After that, there was an upside down room. A room with a chocolate chip cookie with the chip like doors that can open and close and stick your head through it, another room with a unicorn, and another with sunflowers in it. The final one was a dome with confetti and people were playing and threw confetti at each other while it was being blown.

The next one was Sounds Fun. First we could play with different instruments like trumpets and trombones and electric drums, drum pads and a keyboard. The first one I did was the trumpets and the trombones and we had competitions like who can blow the loudest or longest. Next I did the drum pads and the keyboard, and we could make songs or notes.

The last exhibition was the Van Gogh experience - if you don't know who Van Gogh, he is a

famous Dutch artist who painted over 2100 artworks. There were 3 rooms, the first room had

information and pictures. The second one was a big room with Van Gogh paintings and there

was a 3D image and moving pictures as well. The third room was the sunflower room with

sunflowers everywhere and mirrors as walls.

The whole trip was amazing!

At the end we got a free morning tea in a bag. There was a sandwich, apple, chips, juice and

there was a vegetarian sandwich if some people are halal or a vegetarian. Blog ya later!

Hi viewers, today I'm going to talk about  my training diary and my fitness plan. If you don't know what a training diary is. It's a diary that has some stuff for your body to get fit. In the training diary there are 6 blocks, Block 1 Is teammates block 2 is shut eyes = eyes wide, Block 3 Good people, Block 4 Topping up the tank, block 5 I don’t break I bounce , Block 6 Refuel, and we have tests. The fitness plan is a plan that you have to plan what exercise you do in fruit break  we have 9 boxes to plan our exercises We have to do It in 15 minutes. Blog ya later

ANZAC: A day in the trenches

A day in the trenches  

Yesterday, when I went to school everyone was crowded outside Hauraki and Waitemata and all the teachers were wearing black and had face paint And so many people were saying there are lasers in the class and I ran to the back of waitemata. If you don't know what ANZAC is, it is an army that New Zealand and Australia fight other countries.

When the teachers allowed use inside and then after the bell we had to crawl under the wires and then we had to spread around and do tasks. We had to start with 10 points if you go over the wire you lost a point and the teachers might shoot you if you reach 0 points then you will be the servant.When we were doing tasks the teachers are trying to distract us and we are not allow to go out unless if its lunch or morning tea and almost after school we had to get blindfold and then we had to unleash the strings and then clean up. Have you ever made landscape art before?

In Te Waka Ako we have been creating a Landscape artwork. If you don't know what landscape art is, it’s an art piece that you have to draw using some landscapes like some Mountains. To draw the landscape art, first we had to rule a rectangle and also it fits in a A4 paper  in our art book and then draw some hills or mountains. Then we had to add a sun and patterns radiating from the sun. Next we had to add color using cool colors like Blue, Green, Purple and warm colors like Red Orange Yellow Pink. When I finished my art I was proud of it because it came out very nice. Blog ya later

Family Fun Day

Family fun day  

Kia Ora Bloggers Last friday Our school had a family fun day. If you don't know what a family fun day is, it is where families can come and have a fun day with their child  and it's every year but not 2020 because of lockdown. On family fun day we had to  wear our house colors, Tui, Kea, Ruru and pukeko, and then we had rotations. The rotations were Bouncy castles, Inflatable water slide, Magic playbox/Wheels, pool and Slippery slide. We were fundraising cakes and chocolates for this year's camp.  

For the bouncy castle we had to go 2 at a time, and then we had to do an obstacle course. And then people can go to the small obstacle course if they want to. When the bell rings we had to go to the Inflatable water slide, but we had to wear  our clothes because These chemicals on our togs. After that, we went wheels and then swimming and Slip N slide!
