Hi bloggers, In SLJ I did a activity called Build a Sundial with Nanogirl! If you don't know what it is a sundial is a clock it tells the time using the sun. For the activity we had listen to a video of Nanogirl and make our own Sundial when we done we had to put it on a sunny place and every hour we had to mark the time
Ka pai Sual, your sundial looks great. Did you add numbers or numerals to it each hour? I wonder when people stopped using sundials and what inventions replaced them...

ReplyDeleteWell done on completing the Nanogirl Sundial challenge! I really like that you’ve included a cool photo of your finished sundial and a bit of background about the activity. I think I might have a go at making one myself! Sundials are such a fascinating ancient technology!
Did you end up marking your sundial every hour as the shadows moved? Let me know what you thought of this activity and if you have any suggestions for me, before I try making my own!
Mā te wā - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer.
Fiona (SLJ).
