Summer journey

Which is real and which is fake? 

Today I am going to tell you about summer learning journey. If you don know what it is you have to complete your activity and then your post them on your blog you have to activity for 6 weeks of the  Summer  holidays. We had to register into summer learning journey we do the teaser activity. The  teaser activity is when you post it but you still   don´t get points yet.

There are so many activities you can do and all of them are different there are students from the university to comment on our blogs and give feedback. We had to find a picture to draw and once we finished  we had to download it to our blog.

Hi bloggers, On Monday and Tuesday we had Bike skills we had teachers come from Bigfoot adventures. We had 2 teachers teaching us in 1 day. We had to get our right size bike. We had to do a  quick checklist which is called A.B.C.D.Q. We practised braking, signalling to show which way your turning when you stopped and changing gears. We played games,The first game is when you crash or put your foot down your out join in the square. The second was the race but it is different race you have to get to finish line last to win.  I won the last one.

Kia ora bloggers instead of work its Skateboarding! We had great coaches Ben and Lawrence. First we had learn how to ride a skateboard by putting our foot in the correct way and then we got to be in to groups, my group we had to make it to the other side before Lawrence said freeze, some made it but some people didn't The people who did is with Lawrence the ones that didn't make is with Ben

We practice balancing on the skateboard first had to put one foot on the skateboard and the other foot on the ground it was very hard. And swinging the legs and lean down to touch the nose and we did it with the other leg, it was pretty hard and challenging. Then we did tic taxs, some people did on the grass to make it easier some people did it on the concrete and then we did 360 degrees turn using tic taxs. We learnt how to turn right and left on the skateboard. At the end we play traffic light. Blog ya later!

2020 Production (Jasmine & Aladdin)

Hi bloggers, Last week our school had a school production for 2020. The production was called Jasmine & Aladdin.  It was like from the Disney Movie Aladdin, but we changed some things and called it Jasmine & Aladdin. A Each person has a role to do and some people had to be in the year 5-6 dance. The year 0 - 4 had to dance as well but  because they didn't have a role to do. The people who have roles have to practice after school and on Google meet. We had parents who bought tickets to come and  watch the show. We have 2 night show and 1 day time show. I'm only able to watch the day show because I was busy at the nights.

Hi bloggers, Every Wednesday we did Wonder Project, this week we are doing our test flights to see if our rockets go high, we have to put the launcher 25 degrees angle, our rocket went the highest but it didn't go the furthest it went like about 5 meters, and all groups have to improve our rockets, our group chose 250 mills of water and did flips when the thrust ran out and while that happened our fins blew off. That happened to other groups as well and some groups their aerodynamics blew off. On our second test flight our group came 1st place our rocket flew like about 41 meters I think. One thing I learn at Wonder Project is when you set the launcher 45 degrees you can measure how high it went. Blog ya later bloggers.

Matariki

Yesterday it was matariki Matariki is Maori New Year. In matariki we had 3 rotation. In the first rotation we made fried bread with Mrs Jones First we put self raising flour and water into a bowl while we mixing and it sticky and we kneading and we put flour on the to get less sticky and then we put it in the deep fryer and it tasted delicious After we finish we carry on with our  Matariki booklet.

Cross Country

Yesterday the whole school did Cross Country. There were six different activity stations. There were tennis, handball, blindfold, playground, warm up and run. Before morning tea we had to be prepared for Cross Country. After morning tea we then got our water bottles and lined up in our year groups to go and do the activities. In the race, I came seventh place.
